"Music on the Barge ~ The Resolutionaries Marimba Band (Afro Roots)."

We simply ran out of time and missed our treat at “The County Food Co.” where we saw other visitors in the park enjoying fresh local produce, prepared by talented chefs who offer inspired dishes and inexpensive dining. There are dozens of delicious entrees and salads served in a “Picnic Lunch Pail” to enjoy while enjoying the sounds at the Stratford Summer Music Barge. The Resolutionaries Marimba band is a hot new blend of hybrid Zimbabwean music that has set dance floors ablaze and is hailed for bringing people together. Marimba is a traditional Zimbabwean instrument that combines sweet melodies with African rhythms. The Resolutionaries Marimba Music is a mix of age-old African tunes, Modern innovations and TransAtlantic "livasporic" inspiration. Another visitor on the hillside offered to move over to share some shade with us under the tree lined park. Stratford Summer Music has a great website with the entire “line-up” and scheduling for visitors to check out. It was clear from the volunteers assisting in the park this day, that they also provide an intricate part of the community and success of this generous Stratford Summer Music. The atmosphere was fantastic, the rhythm moving, crowds clapped along and young kids danced along the walkway adding to the entertainment of the day. This hour seemed to fly by so quickly. We packed up our lawn chairs and made our way onward to another great experience in beautiful Stratford Ontario.
